System Requirements

In the darkness of software implementation, DarkAgent requires specific vessel configurations to manifest its full power. Before embarking on the ritual of installation, ensure your system meets these sacred requirements.

Operating System Requirements​

DarkAgent is exclusively designed for desktop environments:

Windows​

  • Version: Windows 10 (20H2 or newer) or Windows 11
  • Architecture: 64-bit only
  • Special Requirements:
    • Windows Defender exceptions capability
    • Administrator privileges for installation
    • PowerShell 5.0 or newer

macOS​

  • Version: macOS 11 (Big Sur) or newer
  • Architecture: Intel or Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3)
  • Special Requirements:
    • System Extensions permission
    • Full Disk Access for the application
    • Administrator account for installation

Hardware Requirements​

Minimum Specifications​

  • Processor: Intel/AMD quad-core (i5/Ryzen 5 or equivalent)
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • Storage: 10 GB free space on primary drive
  • GPU: Integrated graphics (dedicated GPU recommended)
  • Network: Broadband internet connection for initial setup
  • Display: 1080p resolution
  • Processor: Intel/AMD 6+ core processor (i7/Ryzen 7 or better)
  • RAM: 16 GB or more
  • Storage: 20 GB+ SSD storage
  • GPU: Dedicated graphics with 4GB+ VRAM
  • Network: High-speed connection (100+ Mbps)
  • Display: 1440p or higher resolution

Critical Docker Requirements​

DarkAgent utilizes Docker for its containerized architecture:

  • Docker Desktop: Latest stable version required

    • Windows: Docker Desktop with WSL 2 backend
    • macOS: Docker Desktop with virtualization support enabled

  • Container Resources:

    • Minimum 4 GB RAM allocation to Docker
    • At least 10 GB disk space for container storage
    • Docker Compose v2.0 or newer

  • Network Configuration:

    • Local port availability (will be configured during setup)
    • No firewall restrictions for localhost connections
    • Docker network driver functioning properly

Security Software Considerations​

Certain security software may require configuration:

  • Antivirus/EDR: Exclusions required for DarkAgent installation directory
  • Firewalls: Allow local connections for Docker and DarkAgent
  • Endpoint Protection: May require exceptions for kernel extensions
  • Monitoring Tools: Some corporate monitoring tools may conflict with stealth features

Not Supported​

DarkAgent explicitly does not support:

  • Mobile devices (iOS, Android)
  • Web browsers or web applications
  • Linux operating systems
  • Virtual machines (for stealth features; Docker must run on physical hardware)
  • Windows S Mode
  • Computers without administrator access

Pre-Installation Verification​

Before beginning the installation ritual, verify your system with:

The vessel must be properly prepared for the ritual to succeed. DarkAgent's power manifests most effectively on systems exceeding the recommended specifications, particularly for seamless interview experiences with minimal detection risk.
